New pictures were released today (December 6th) of the Cannon Place development at London's Cannon Street station - an eight-storey, 400,000 sq ft office building above a new railway concourse and tube station entrance.

Network Rail stated that the development would "transform" Cannon Street station, making it brighter, easier to use and more spacious than the old one.

Work on the station - which is among the top ten busiest in the country, serving 95,000 City workers each day - is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.

Network Rail recently announced that train punctuality and reliability over the autumn 2009 had hit record levels, with almost 90 per cent of trains arriving on time.
